Past Trips

Acadia National Park

We visit Acadia yearly. On this trip, we did a whole lot! On the way up we visited Nubble Lighthouse and Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens before arriving in Acadia. In Acadia, we visited Thunder Hole, hiked the precipice trail (no one fell off, visited Sand Beach, and hiked to watch the sunrise at Cadillac Mountain. It was a blast!

Rumney Climbing

We ran a climbing trip to Rumney New Hampshire in partnership with BU Climbing Club. After a brief hike in, we set up routes and let our members try their hand at top roping. We also brought the crash pads so we could get some boldering in as well.

Alumni Weekend

Every year, our club spends a weekend at at a cabin on a lake. We have a dinner with our alumni and a presentation from one of them. The next day, we take our annual group picture and then take a local hike!

Mt. Washington

Mt. Washington is the tallest mountain the Northeast. We attempt to summit it twice a year, once in the summer and once in the winter. It is a challenging hike, but then again, the best views aren’t free.

Middlesex Fells

If you want to do something more local, then we run frequent trips to Middlesex Fells and the Blue Hills reservation. These trips are accessible by the T and do not require a large time commitment.

St. George’s Island

Not all Outings have to be camping, backpacking, climbing, etc. For this trip, we walked from campus to the harbor to take a ferry to St. George’s Island. On the Island, we explored the historic fort (many dark and spooky places) before we had a picnic lunch and returned Bostonward.
