Hiking boots are one of the few things we do not rent out because they are very personalized to each individual. We recommend going in person to an outdoors store like the REI in Fenway and trying on a few pairs. All brands they sell will do fine but it's important to get a water resistant pair. To get a good fit it's helpful to wear your thickest socks, go in the afternoon when your feet are slightly larger, and size up a slight bit. Wear your hiking boots around for a couple days before your first hike in them to break them in! Otherwise you will get awful blisters.
