Fall Lake George 9/23-9/25
Posted by in Trips Let’s go to Lake George! The itercolligiate outing club association is hosting “Fall Lake George” this weekend and we will be taking a group to go participate. Every year a bunch of colleges get together on an island in Lake George, NY and swim, cliff jump,hike, zipline, square dance, ect. for the weekend. Last year was a ton of fun and it looks like we have even more room for people this year! We will be leaving friday at 5pm, arriving in lake george around 9pm then taking a motorboat out to the island.We’ll spend the night on the island and the next day you can sign up for the various activities that they post. Saturday night there is usually a island wide activity (last year it was square dancing) and then we party with the other outing clubs. Sunday morning we’ll pack our stuff up and head over to my house where my mom will make you a delicious meal. We should be back around 5 on sunday or whenever people need to get back.
What: Hiking, backpacking, camping, square dancing, ect.
Where: Turtle Island, Lake George NY
Date and Time: Depart 5:00 pm Friday the 23nd, Will be back by Sunday the 25th at 5:00 pm
Departure Location and Time: BU Beach at 4:45pm this Friday
Difficulty: Whatever you want it to be
Transportation: Various helpful OCer’s
What You Need
Equipment:
- backpack
- hiking shoes or sneakers and bathing suit
- Sleeping bag.
Clothing:
Bring warm clothes.
- non-cotton socks
- Long underwear type shirts
- Light jacket
- Fleece of Vest
- Pants that will remain warm if they get wet.

Food:
We will get some dinner on the way down on friday. All other meals for the weekend will be provided either by the Outing club, IOCA, or my mother (I live in lake george so we will stop by for brunch on the way out)
