Patagonia himalayas 2

Join the BU Outing Club to hear accomplished outdoors enthusiasts Dr. Juan Sebastian Montes and Daryl Hawk share stories from their expeditions to some the world’s most isolated and beautiful places, such as Patagonia and the Himalayas.

In 1992, Dr. Montes climbed one of the most difficult Everest routes, without the aid of supplemental oxygen. He has served as Governor of Los Lagos region in southern Chile, and he has led 30 expeditions to Patagonia, the Andes, Yosemite, the Alps, and the Himalayas.

Mr. Hawk has traveled to places such as Patagonia, the Himalayas and Antartica, producing photo documentaries. He is a member of NYC’s Explorers Club and previously hosted a cable TV show that featured explorers and scientists such as Buzz Aldrin, Jane Goodall and George Schaller. He will be talking about his recent traverse through Ladakh, India.

Come relive a part of their cultural immersions and imagine yourselves enveloped in these breathtaking landscapes.
